PAST EVENT: EMCC Presents: ‘You can’t have diversity without inclusion’

Join us for an hour-long lunchtime insight into the world of Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) initiatives in the culture and media sectors. This session is ideal for anyone working in arts, culture and media in Scotland and explores women’s lived experiences of EDI initiatives and how we can improve so that women no longer bear the burden of this essential work

In the lead up to International Women’s Day this year, join the Equal Media and Culture Centre for Scotland (EMCC) as we launch our new report into women’s lived experiences of Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) initiatives in the Scottish media and culture sectors. We’ll hear from two of the report’s researchers before moving on to a panel discussion with women working in the culture and media sectors.

Our report, researched and written by Dr Fiona McKay, Prof Meryl Kenny, Melody House and Talat Yaqoob, dives into the experiences of women working in media and culture who have taken part in EDI initiatives, before making recommendations on the ways in which organisations can improve their EDI programmes and therefore create more equitable and diverse workplaces for women

This event will be live captioned via Streamtext.
